Christian Aid Week nationwide will take place from 10th to 16th May 2021.
What is Christian Aid ? Why does it exist ? What does it do ?
Christian Aid is committed to supporting poor and marginalised people, whatever their beliefs, or ethnicity. It follows strict standards for aid work. Christian Aid believes that everyone is equal in the sight of God. Poverty is an outrage against humanity – it robs people of their dignity and lets injustice thrive.
Christian Aid operates in nearly 40 counties, promoting sustainable development, striving for social justice, pursuing a vision of a world without poverty.
Today Christian Aid addresses the very real and immediate impact of climate change on some of the poorest communities in the world, by challenging governments on their response to the climate crisis. The climate crisis is the highlight of the Appeal nationwide this year.
The traditional red envelope for Christian Aid Week will be available in church Sunday 9th and Sunday 16th May.
Please give a donation within the red envelope and give permission to make your donation worth 25% more by completing the Gift Aid form attached to the envelope.
